“For me my camera can be a form of protection or connection - a barrier from what I witness or a doorway into the lives I photograph.
Street photography isn’t just about what’s happening, its about what’s felt. Sometimes its a glance or a quiet story behind someones eyes that creates that brief, human connection, that’s what makes the work so rewarding for me.”
Kate is a London-born, France based photographer. After graduating from university she worked within the sports photography industry becoming a sports picture editor for UK National newspapers.
2006 saw a complete career change; Kate joined the London Metropolitan police for just over 14 years.
In 2021 Kate moved to France and drawing on the skills and experiences gained from her years in the police, she now combines her passion for photography with the love of the stories the streets tell and its differing characters.
